Wildfire context for Babine Lake
Babine Lake is one of British Columbia's largest natural lakes, surrounded by extensive sub-boreal forest, Indigenous communities, fishing and recreation areas, rural roads, resource activity, and long distances between services. Wildfires can affect separate communities, access routes, utilities, and smoke across the lake in very different ways.
