FireRadar Canadian Wildfire Dataset
Download the direct-official wildfire records FireRadar can currently show from participating provincial and territorial sources. The public dataset deliberately excludes NASA hotspots and CWFIS national fallback records from the direct-official incident set, and it does not turn an unavailable source into a confirmed zero.
The downloadable incident API carries per-source state. Stale last-known-good sources are labelled stale; unavailable or unverifiable sources are excluded until their counts can be shown safely.

What the main fields mean
incidentIdStable source-facing incident identifier when the source provides one.
status / sourceStatusNormalized display status and the source wording where available. FireRadar does not fabricate missing source states.
sourceState / sourceFreshnessWhether the direct source is current or stale for an included record. Sources in unavailable or unknown states are excluded from the current-record download rather than treated as zero.
reportedSizeHaCurrent source-reported incident size when available. It is not national cumulative annual area burned.
firstReportedAt / lastUpdatedAtIncident-level timestamps only when supplied or defensibly derived from the relevant official record.
longitude / latitudeIncident reference point. It is not a perimeter and should not be treated as the nearest fire edge.
sourceThe direct provincial or territorial incident feed that supplied the record.
Coverage and provenance
FireRadar aggregates direct official incident feeds when their current or last-known-good state can be shown and keeps national fallback data and satellite detections separate. Coverage can differ by jurisdiction because Canadian agencies publish different fields, update schedules, and access methods.
