Wildfire context for Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park
Tatshenshini-Alsek is a vast wilderness of river valleys, forest, glaciers, alpine terrain, Indigenous cultural landscapes, rafting routes, and extremely limited road access near the Yukon and Alaska borders. Wildfire is more relevant in lower forested valleys and approach areas, while smoke can travel far beyond incident locations.
