Wildfire context for Alberta Highway 93 – Icefields Parkway
The Icefields Parkway crosses a long mountain corridor of conifer forest, alpine terrain, glaciers, campgrounds, trailheads, visitor facilities, and limited services inside national parks. Fire or transported smoke can affect visibility, recreation, and travel at locations far from either Jasper or Banff townsites.
