Wildfire context for Purcell Wilderness Conservancy
The Purcell Wilderness Conservancy protects a very large roadless landscape of old forest, river valleys, alpine ridges, glaciers, wildlife habitat, and demanding backcountry routes. Access comes from multiple valleys, so wildfire and smoke conditions near one approach may not represent the protected area as a whole.
