How to read AQHI around Vancouver

Metro Vancouver has multiple air-quality influences including wildfire smoke, traffic, marine activity, industry, ozone, and local weather. AQHI is a health-risk index based on several pollutants rather than a smoke-only measurement, and any one station describes its surrounding area rather than every neighbourhood in the region.

Observation, not a city-wide constant

AQHI values come from participating reporting locations and communicate combined health risk from multiple air pollutants. The nearest observation may not match every neighbourhood around Vancouver, and a missing marker is not evidence of clean air. Wildfire smoke is one possible contributor rather than the definition of AQHI.
