How to read smoke around Pickle Lake
Pickle Lake is a remote northern Ontario community surrounded by boreal forest, lakes, mining and exploration areas, aviation routes, and Highway 599. It serves as an important road-access and logistics point for the far north, so wildfire can affect travel, work sites, air operations, community services, and smoke across a vast surrounding area.
