British Columbia wildfire evacuation orders & alerts
Review official notices FireRadar can verify from EmergencyMapBC and supported issuing authorities. A wildfire marker shows an incident; an evacuation boundary describes the area specified by the emergency authority. Distance to a fire does not establish whether an evacuation notice applies.
FireRadar is not the issuing authority. Follow the instructions of the responsible First Nation, local government or emergency authority. Missing notices or map boundaries do not establish that a location is clear of evacuation instructions.
Official notices in monitored BC sources
Current BC information could not be fully verified. Retained notices are labelled individually; confirm their current status with the issuing authority.
What the BC coverage supports
Where an authoritative affected-area polygon is verified, FireRadar can test a location against that boundary. An alert broadcast area, community point or nearby wildfire does not provide the same precision. The notice card states when exact-address inclusion cannot be determined.
EmergencyMapBC brings together information from issuing authorities. It does not replace checking the responsible local government or First Nation, and FireRadar has not established a complete issuer-level absence certificate for all of BC.

Official EmergencyMapBC wildfire evacuation notices are published for their named affected areas. Exact-address inclusion remains in review. Complete issuer coverage, lifecycle reconciliation and the required observation period have not been demonstrated; FireRadar cannot certify an absence of notices.
Read the issuing authority’s wording
BC sources distinguish evacuation alerts, evacuation orders and rescinded notices. An amendment or partial rescission may affect only part of an area. Re-entry information can carry conditions of its own. Read the official notice for the applicable instructions and boundary.
Expiry of an alert message, disappearance from a feed or an old map marker does not establish that an evacuation order was rescinded. FireRadar labels unconfirmed retained evidence and keeps the official source link available.
